My schedule for the next month is very yin and yang:
RELAXATION or, SUMMER IS FOREVER, RIGHT?
Once I make it to Connecticut I have absolutely nothing to do except re-pack my car with, fingers crossed, much less stuff than I'll be leaving Northfield with. Thankfully this should be an easy enough task given that almost nothing will have made it out of its box. So I can take my time visiting all my quintessentially-home places, eating all my quintessentially-home foods, and taking my quintessentially-home naps. Not to mention a long weekend up north!
VERSUS
RESPONSIBILITY or, MY MATHEMATICAL YEAR
After topping off my summer in New England , I'll be "headed down south to the land of the pines, thumbin' my way into North Caroline" to get settled in Raleigh. In just less than a week after arriving I'll be thrown into the whirlwind that is graduate school, and my life will be consumed by orientation meetings, paperworkpaperworkpaperwork, and finding my way around a new (and huge!) urban campus. I guess I could just feel overwhelmed, but where's the fun in that? This is my frickin life baby!
